Episode 58 — Growth, your grandparents and Google

WATERLOO (CUP) — On this week's Canadian University Press Podcast, we begin in Saskatoon, where Daryl Hoffman of The Sheaf at the University of Saskatchewan explains how his province is showing growth as its population has surpassed one million for the first time since 1986.

Next, we check in with Hilary Sinclair of The Link at Concordia University discusses her opinion piece "Old-Age Insecurity", which argues that more needs to be done to confront the potential crisis created by rising retirement age among baby boomers and what it might mean for 20-somethings trying to enter the workforce.

In our last segment, we speak to Tim O'Brien of The Muse at Memorial University of Newfoundland about the pending changes to Google's privacy policy and whether users should be concerned or are simply bristling at the possibility of change.

The Canadian University Press Podcast is hosted and produced by Mike Lakusiak in Waterloo, Ont. at the offices of Wilfrid Laurier University's student newspaper, The Cord. Comments or questions can be sent to cupcast@cup.ca or via Twitter by following @cupcast.
